How to Apply to INAC for Funding

How to Apply to I.N.A.C. (Indian and Northern Affairs)

This is tricky - pay close attention to this section. If you don't do things right you can have your funding refused.

INAC will fund you (airfare, tuition, books, rent, food) for upgrading programs such as Preparation for University and College. Last year INAC was very particular in wanting applications done is a certain way. For example they would not accept applications before May 15 and would send them back or not count them if they received them before that date. For this reason, it is very important you telephone them in early April and ask them when they are accepting applications. They have a limited number of students they will fund and some years they give out funding on a first come first serve basis. This means you need to find out when they are accepting applications and fax in your application the very day they start taking applications. You also need to find out exactly what they want and make sure you do it correctly because if you haven't done it correctly they might reject your application or simply put it on hold so long that all their money is given out.

Their application is two parts - The first part is easy (The University and College Entrance Program Application). The second part can cause you some very very serious problems if leave it too late. The Second Part is "FORM B - CONFIRMATION oF ENROLLEMENT FORM". You have to fax this form to Grant MacEwan
